Teledyne e2v US, a business unit of Teledyne Digital Imaging US, Inc., has announced today that it has appointed RS&A Inc, a USA based independent service provider of medical equipment, as its distributor of its linear accelerator medical and industrial products in the Americas. In turn, RS&A Inc has appointed Invita Medical as its exclusive subcontractor for distribution of Teledyne e2V products in South America.
Teledyne e2v has more than 60 years’ experience designing, manufacturing and delivering high-quality products used in radiotherapy, security and industrial applications. It is the established market leader for the supply of medical magnetrons, thyratrons and solid-state modulators in radiotherapy systems: vital components for generating the microwave power required for the radiation treatment of tumours. These products will now be available through RS&A in the Americas and distributed exclusively in South America by Invita Medical.
RS&A was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in North Carolina. Invita Medical was founded in 2015 and is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Both companies are leading independent service partners within the radiation oncology market, providing linear accelerator (linac) service, parts, and equipment. Through this relationship, Invita Medical offers immediate access to Teledyne e2v products throughout South America, including an enhanced warranty and technical support process. RS&A and Invita Medical are committed to being good partners to the linac engineer community, supporting research and troubleshooting initiatives of Teledyne e2v products to improve system performance.
DJ Conrad, President at RS&A, said “Invita Medical is well known for its customer support, technical expertise and innovation, and high-quality service in radiation oncology. Our company cultures are closely aligned and we have enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship for many years. This official distribution agreement allows us to improve collaboration and better support the service community in South America, having a direct and lasting positive impact on patient care. I look forward to a long and successful relationship with the Invita team.”
Luciano Barros, President of Invita Medical, said “Invita is excited to be able to offer Teledyne e2v’s magnetrons, thyratrons and accessories for sale and support in South America.
